Are You Drinking Enough Water? Here’s How To Know!

Drinking water is one of the most important and vital things you could ever do for your body. In fact, drinking more water can help improve your health, well-being, and even your ability to lose weight more effectively. There are so many instances where just implementing a better and more thorough water consumption routine can make a huge difference. It usually comes across as the obvious answer, but the fact of the matter is that most people do not get enough water each day & we should really begin to notice so that we can up our intake overall.

Humans need water more than anything. In fact, our bodies are made up of 60% water while our blood is made of 90% water. Having fresh, clean, hydration daily is essential to making sure everything runs as it should.

Water benefits your skin, the aging process, your joint health, delivers more oxygen throughout your body, improves brain health, regulates body temperature, flushes body waste, promotes kidney wellbeing, and make nutrients more available within your body systems! Wow – isn’t that all amazing?

Now that we know how essential it is for us and why it’s needed in such large quantities daily, we can figure out just how much we should be consuming and how to know if it is enough for us. Generally, there is no uniform answer that is agreed upon universally for the amount of water to drink each day but here are some tips to go by:

  1. Your thirst mechanism is the best way to decide if you need water. Do you feel thirsty? Start training yourself to drink water first, before you drink another beverage – to make sure you are getting enough.
  2. A common guideline is 8 glasses of 8oz of water a day. This 8 x 8 rule is easy to remember and can be a good guideline, however for some it may be too little depending on the amount of exercise, etc that you partake in.
  3. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables is also a great way to get more water without even realizing it. The more whole fruits and veggies you eat, the more water your body is getting!
