What To Do With All Those Apples You Picked
Apple picking is one of the most popular seasonal past times for the fall season! With so many people heading out to the local orchards and collecting as many apples as their baskets can hold, what can be done with them all? We can only eat so many apple pies or snack on an apple during our lunch break before we will weekly realize that we probably have more than we know what to do with. Have no fear, however, because I am sharing some of my all time favorite ways to use up all those apples you collected and even share these tasty treats with loved ones.
Apple Turnovers – These are like handheld pies! The great part is that you can make them as big or small as you would like and can even freeze them to save them for quite a while. Plus they make a great dessert or present to bring into the offie.
Apple Salsa – Have you ever thought of this one? The fall time is a great time to experience new flavor combinations. Adding apples into a fresh and sweet salsa is great on chips, tacos, salads, and more!
Apple Chips – Air fryers are all the rage right now, and dehydrating some apples into chips is a fun way to preserve them for a while as well as give yourself a crunchy snack for when your craving something like that.
Apple Muffins – Muffins are great for those of us who are always on the go! You get the sweet treat with the ability to carry it with you, with ease.
Slow Cooker Apple Cider – This can be so simple to make, but tastes amazing! Apple cider is definitely a staple for this time of year.
Apple Oatmeal – Cut & diced up into small cubes and thrown into your favorite oats with some cinnamon – it’s like dessert!
Caramel Apples – An absolute favorite of so many! These can be customized with whatever sweets you love most. Some of my favorite combos are peanut butter, chocolate, M&Ms, and marshmallow!
Apple Grilled Cheese – Another new flavor twist that you are sure to love. Get that sweet and salty flavors meshed together in a sandwich perfect for October.
What treats are you most looking forward to trying this year!?
